The spreading Corona Virus has claimed the life of UNICEF’s Head of Communications in Kano, Nigeria.
Malam Rabiu Musa, the 60 year old UNICEF staff complained of sore throat and malaria. His son said he was promply taken to the hospital where he was treated and he got better.
His ailment relapsed as he later complained of difficulty in breathing.
His son, Musa Rabiu told News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that he complained of sore throat a week ago.
“A week ago, he complained of sore throat and malaria but after few days of medication, he became normal.
“Few days later, he complained of difficulty in breathing. He also complained that no matter how short he walked, he loses breath. So, he was taken to the National Orthopaedic Hospital in Dala on Friday where he gave up.
He was said to have died around 3am on Saturday.
Survived by a wife and seven children, his family already contacted the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) for his burial.
